Moving to a New Mobile Device - MFA

1.Log in to OneLogin at https://wmcarey.onelogin.com

2.Click your name or photo in the top-right corner

3.Click Profile

4. Click Security Factors

5.  You will see a list of Authenticators setup on your account. Note the Old Authenticator you wish to replace. Most of you will only see One authenticator set as primary with a green box. The details may include the model or OS of the previous phone

6.To avoid confusion, it’s recommended that you rename the old Authenticator before you add a new one. This is so you will be able to differentiate between the old authenticator and the new one you’re about to create

-Choose Options, then Edit Name

-A black box will appear around the Authenticator Name indicating you can now edit the name

-In the example below “Old” was added to the end of the Authenticator name

-Click the green check to save the edited name

7.Now it’s time to add your new Authenticator. This is where you will need your Mobile device handy. Click the Add Factor button, then choose OneLogin Protect, and follow the onscreen prompts

-There is the option to Choose “Authenticator.” This option is there if you wish to add a “Third Party” Authenticator such as Google or Microsoft Authenticators. If you choose this option, you will always have to provide a 6-digit code when challenged. We recommend OneLogin Protect because it will allow for push notifications to your mobile so will not always have to type code.

8.After you have successfully set up the new authenticator, you will need to remove the old authenticator. Note, now you will see two OneLogin Protect Authenticators, but the old one will have the name you gave it in step 6

9.You will not be able to remove the old authenticator until you set the newly created authenticator as the Primary Authenticator. You will do this by Clicking Options by the newly created authenticator and then click “Set as Primary”

10.Now you will notice that the new authenticator is now at the top and has the green box around it, highlighting it as the Primary Authenticator. The Old Authenticator has moved down and is now longer highlighted.

11.To finish up, Click the Options button next to the Old Authenticator and choose, remove. This will now remove the old Authenticator from your account.

You're done! Your Old Authenticator is now gone from your account and your new Authenticator is setup and set to be used as your Primary Authenticator. You can now leave your OneLogin profile.
